Bastrop County Character Education announces scholarship winners for 2019-20

Bastrop County Character Education program is pleased to announce four BCCE Character Merit Scholarships winners for the 2019-20 school year. Each senior receiving a $500 scholarship to help further their education are:

• Jannie Lou B. Dejillo of Smithville ISD

• Brandon Girod of Elgin ISD

• Jaden Strong of Elgin ISD

• Marlizeth Castenada Hernandez of Cedar Creek ISD

The Character Education program is a countywide effort in "Building Good Citizens for Texas," and is managed by Smithville Education Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit.
